Panda cupcakes that I made for my wife's baby shower today.
The white icing is a mascarpone cheese frosting, with standard black sugar icing for the mouth and nose. The black patches around the eyes, and the ears are made from "sugar sheets."
I had help from end to end. My wife and daughter helped me design them. A ton of friends helped us cut the ovals and circles while I made the frosting and frosted the cupcakes.
We did half strawberry and half chocolate, and everyone loved them.
(The baby's nickname/name before we picked her real name is Panda, because that's all we could come up with made out of our mothers' initials, PN and AD.)
