Artist's Comments
This composition arose from thinking about the colors of the sunset, and also about the twin meanings of sunset. The sunset of our lives means we will soon be dead (or die to be reborn, if that's the way you think.) So I put a dead or dormant tree in the foreground. The branches were positioned to lead the viewer toward the clouds.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
