One day after I finished a strip, Andrew said something like, "You anime-d me."
He never explained what that was supposed to mean.
I found myself with some time to draw but nothing really clamoring for my attention, so I decided to experiment with what it would look like if I really did draw Andrew (the character) in a manga style.
One thing that I learned very quickly while looking for ideas? Very few anime or manga dudes wear crewcuts. Buzz cut? Yep. Bald? Sure. Vertical, flat-topped crew/brush cut? Not so much.
